Alex Palm Art
Alex Palm is an Illustrator with a BFA from The American Academy of Art College in Chicago.
Born and raised in Illinois, he was heavily inspired early on by his love for pop culture media. This ranged from television and music such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Aly & AJ to later outlets like movies and comic books and their ability to show story and character, not just through text and dialogue but deep visuals and scenery. As well, early exposure to the works of
Alex Ross and Jim Lee flourish a deeper intrigue and appreciation for art that later drove Alex Palm to pursue and practice the craft. He took that inspiration and later interest in the field to pursue a career making video games, which further evolved into wanting to design and develop
concept work and the external uses of the characters, such as comics and ad campaigns.

He developed his style through the guidance of mentors. Through their lectures and his exploration of illustration, Alex learned to hone in on skills such as composition & color theory to further his work. His style is individual yet connected by his soft touch and color schemes,
blending a bit of reality with the fantastical. Alex’s work was shown in the Illustration exhibition in 2022 & 2023 at the Bill L. Parks Gallery in Chicago
